Special Guests - Upcoming bond issue vote - election is May 8. There are several upcoming meetings and informational sessions for the public coming up. April 12th at the middle school 6:30 and April 24th at Artworks at 6:30. Would like PTO support at those meetings, would like input for what we’d like to see. Flyers are going home, Facebook shout outs, trying to get everyone registered that we can. Registration date is coming up this Monday - must be registered 30 days before. Making people aware of voting boundaries. Check out the BRPS website for bond issue, there is a calculator to see how much it would cost. Write a letter as a PTO to the Pioneer in support of the bond.

Teacher report - Mrs. Maat & Mrs. Krebs - Upcoming bond issue. There have been a lot of Ferris students coming in to work with our students, which has been a wonderful help. Nurses have been in for hand washing lessons, and our school nurse is here once a week. Field trips coming up for May and June. Waterwork project in the park, Courthouse, and baseball trips coming up for 3rd grade. Isabella bank is coming in to make presentations to a couple grades next week as well. Thank you for the books!! Reading and writing night went over well. Had a lot of positive feedback as well. Second grade will be going to the Howard Christensen nature center. Fourth grade had gone to Artworks, and there was a nice response from them about the students good behavior. Fourth grade will be going to the Museum in GR soon as well. We have received a grant for Serial City Science Kits for next year, which we are really excited for.
Principal academic report - Ms. Kent - Reading month went well. Videos all went out. Calling all dads was very successful. We are getting ready for Mstep testing for third and fourth grade. Riverview has received a state grade of 95.95 (overall academic grading), which is the highest grade in our district. Congrats to everyone at Riverview, this is a big deal!! All end of the year events coming up, clap out, world cup soccer, etc.
Calling all Dads
Some classes without books? - Mrs. Fox didn’t get her class books.
Assembly - The magic show was a huge hit!! He would be good to come back again.
Box tops/Shoparoo - Mrs. Krebs class won the trophy for March.
K will go to Children’s Museum May 23 and 24
Maybe next year, we can just have a sign up poster in the lounge where the teachers can write everything up and we don’t have to worry about the sign up forms that the teachers have to submit.
K would like another set of shirts - these are the shirts that the students wear for field trips and etc. - fourth grade is also short a set of shirts, but will be going down to two classrooms next year.
